Sea kale (Crambe maritima) is native to coastal regions of Europe, it is a hardy perennial that has been grown for centuries for its edible shoots, flowers and leaves. Sea Kale can be found growing in sandy, coastal soils.

Harvest season: Spring to early Summer.

Flowering Season: Late Spring to early Summer

Uses: The young shoots, leaves, and flowers are edible. The shoots are often blanched before being eaten, and the leaves can be used in salads, soups, or stir-fries.

Soil type: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil with a neutral pH. Thrives in full sun.

Average height and width: Grows up to 60–90 cm tall with a spread of approximately 45 cm.
