Traditional French dessert plum, widely grown for its exceptional flavour.
Flowering time: Mid to late-season flowering (Pollination Group 3).
Picking season: Late August to early September.
Storage ability: Best used fresh or shortly after picking; can be preserved.
Uses: Small golden plums with rich, sweet flavour, ideal for fresh eating, jams and preserves.
Soil type: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil in a warm, sheltered position.
Pollination: Self-fertile; will crop on its own, with improved yields if other plums are nearby.
