A practical Higher Level Leaving Certificate Biology workshop
Join us at Tonnóg Farm for a hands-on Higher Level Biology workshop based on the new Leaving Certificate Biology specification.
Led by a zoologist and university biology lecturer, the workshop uses Tonnóg Farm as a living classroom, with students applying biological knowledge through practical investigations and real biological systems.
Activities will include experimental design and plant growth, bird diversity and ecological sampling, microscopy and plant transport, carbon and nitrogen cycling, and genetics through grafted trees and plant propagation.
Throughout the day, students will collect and interpret primary data and develop the scientific investigation and application skills required for Higher Level Biology.

Each student will receive a purpose-designed workbook. Following the workshop, students can submit their completed workbook for individual feedback and will receive a fully worked model-answer version.
