Uses: Flowers attract pollinators. A hybrid of blackcurrant and gooseberry, jostaberries are ideal for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and wine-making. The berries have a rich, tangy flavor with a hint of sweetness.
Soil type: Thrives in fertile, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0-7.0). Prefers a sunny to partially shaded position and benefits from regular mulching to retain moisture.
Average height and width: Grows into a vigorous shrub, reaching approximately 1.5-2m in height and 1.5m in width.
